Donald Trump Appoints ‘Apprentice’ Star Omarosa Manigault as Director of African-American Outreach for His Campaign

Former Apprentice star Omarosa Manigaulthas been appointed director of African-American outreach for Donald Trump’s campaign.

“It happened this week,” she told MSNBC at the Republican National Convention on Monday. “It’s really an extension of the work that the [National Diversity Coalition for Trump] has already been doing and so I’m very happy to take up that cause for Donald Trump.”

Manigault previously worked as the vice-chairman for the National Diversity Coalition for Trump.

However, it seems she may have a long road ahead as MSNBC host Craig Melvin reportedly presented Manigault with a poll showing that none of the African-American voters in Ohio said Trump would get their vote.

“I’m wondering who they polled because I just spent an amazing weekend with African Americans for Trump, about 300 of them,” she said, according to THR. “So I look at the data, but my reality is that I’m surrounded by people who want to see Donald Trump as the next president of the United States who are African-American.”
