Supermodel Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi launches lingerie outlet, ‘Lulu Lingerie’

Yesterday, supermodel and show host Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi announced her new lingerie outlet, ‘Lulu Nigeria Lingerie’, with products for women, men and children.

In her interview with Vogue last November, the mother of two compared the fashion choices of New Yorkers and Lagosians, explaining that many people in Nigeria now shop online or at local stores and boutiques with prices not much different from what’s obtainable, in fashion capitals like London, New York or Paris. The age of traveling abroad to buy original products is over, she said.

Now, with her new lingerie outlet, she is collaborating with various international brands while also creating her own original Lulu products to sell to Nigerian buyers.

“Those that are close to me [call] me lulu! Just in case you are wondering,” she posted on Instagram, explaining the origin of the brand name. “It is the ‘Lu’ in Oluchi. It also stands for Love U Love U.”

“Now say it out slowly LuLu! I believe in partnership always. So, WE have partnered with the premium brands to bring you value…! #SlightWork #Obcession #LuLuLingeria #LuLuStores You will love it! So help me God!(sic)

Lulu Lingerie will officially launch next week. Congratulations to her.
