Nollywood star Kalu Ikeagwu becomes traffic instructor



Dashing Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu has been signed on as presenter/anchor of ‘‘Traffic School’’, a television talk-show programme airing on many TV stations across Nigerian from the first quarter of 2016.

This was announced recently the launch of the TV programme, by Princewill Amuchie, Chief Imagination Officer (CIO), Traffic Warehouse Nig. Ltd, producers of the programme.

Amuchie noted that the choice of Kalu Ikeagwu amongst other actors considered for the job was borne out of the fact that he is good at what he does and when the need came to have a brand-face for the programme, there was no hesitation in making him the anchor.

Speaking at the launch, Ikeagwu described the new task as an added value opportunity for him as an actor.

‘‘I am happy that this is happening now. It signifies the fact that doors have started opening from every angle, as this will add a lot of more value to what I do as an actor and help showcase my diversified business acumen,” Ikeagwu said.

‘Traffic School’ is an initiative of Traffic Warehouse Nig. Ltd, a company committed to making sure that road and tarmac traffic issues are solved across the country through application of technology and contemporary traffic tools.

Amuchie said the specific focus of this programme would be to enlighten Nigerians on traffic rules and regulations, aimed at creating a society that is aware of her responsibilities to road users.

“Other areas we intend to bring to the fore would be to push the knowledge of our people on issues pertaining to air, sea and rail traffic, so that more awareness would be achieved in those sectors, thereby creating an enabling environment for safety in Nigeria,” he stated.

Amuchie promises that ‘Traffic School’ will be worth viewers’ pleasure and time while on air.

Ikeagwu is already in the studio for the shooting of the ‘Traffic School’ expected to hit the airwaves from the first quarter of 2016.
