Author of the popular novel turned into movie half of a yellow sun Chimamanda Adiche has revealed that she recently welcomed her own bundle of joy.
The Nigerian literary genius who is married to a white man and lives in the united state of America had apparently kept the birth of her child under wraps after getting pregnant in the summer of 2015.
She however, revealed the good news to Financial times in a recent interview.
“This is the first time I’m saying it publicly. I have a little girl. I heave some friends who probably don’t know I was pregnant or that I had a baby, I just feel like we live in an age when women are supposed to perform pregnancy”. She told the newspaper.
She added, “We don’t expect fathers to perform fatherhood. I went into hiding. I wanted it to be as personal as possible.”
