“Power situation will worsen in Lagos,” Ikeja Disco warns as Labour Union shut office(photos)

Labour Union, on Monday, barricaded the corporate headquarters and other facilities of the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC).

This follows the breakdown of negotiations between the distribution company and Labour over the recent disengagement of workers.

Tweeting on its official Twitter handle, @IkejaElectric, the company described the union’s act as “an act of sabotage to shut down power supply at a time when there is abject fuel scarcity”.

It warns that the union’s actions will worsen power situation for millions of her consumers.
