Kanye West Tweets That Bill Cosby Is ‘Innocent’: The Internet Is Not Pleased

Once again, Kanye Westcaused a big stir on Twitter on Tuesday, February 9, when he sent out what is arguably his most controversial tweet yet.

“BILL COSBY INNOCENT !!!!!!!!!!” the “Only One” rapper, 38, tweeted.

West offered no explanation for his tweet and continued posting on other topics, likeLeBron James’ Nike shoes. His stance was a change of tune from his relatively new song “Facts” in which West raps, “Do anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget names just like Steve Harvey?”

Immediately fans and critics began posting about the contentious tweet, and celebrities weighed in too.

“Kanye!! You can't be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy,” Sarah Silverman tweeted.

Comedian Billy Eichner added, “Are we sure Kanye isn't just a character from Zoolander?”

Scandal star Josh Malina, copied West’s tweet format, writing, “KANYE WEST DELUDED !!!!!!!!!!”

And feminist writer and activist Roxane Gaytweeted, “Stop Kanye. This is not a good look. @kanyewest.”

Dozens of women have accused Cosby, 78, of sexual assault. The former sitcom star was charged with aggravated indecent assault in late December. Last week a Montgomery County judge rejected Cosby’s request to drop the charges, but his legal team has announced they plan to appeal the decision, which will drag court proceedings out longer.
