Siasia’s mother kidnappers reduce ransom from 150m to 32m

Nine days of her abduction, the kidnappers of Madam Beauty Ogere Siasia, mother of the Dream Team VI handler, Samson Siasia, have reduced the ransom to the N32 million.

The abductors, according to the U-23 coach’s brother, Demie Siasia, called on Wednesday to set a new ransom before they let go the 72-year-old woman.

Demie said: “They (Kidnappers) called again, saying they want N32 million as ransom before freeing the old woman, but I told them that we cannot afford that amount and that we could only raise N600,000, which is the proceeds from the landed property.

“Though, they were still adamant, but they said they would look into it. So, we are hopeful and looking forward to our mother’s release.”

The kidnappers earlier requested for N150 million.

Siasia’s family also upped their payment from N200,000 to N600,000.

The aged woman was last week whisked away by three men on the motorbike in Odoni Village, Bayelsa State.
