Mariah Carey has been accused of lip syncing during her appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday by a fellow performer.
After being accused of lip syncing himself, former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry wrote on Twitter; 'And so did EVERYBODY ELSE!'
In addition to Carey - who performed the holiday classic All I Want for Christmas Is You - musical acts who appeared during this year's parade included Jordin Sparks, Panic! At The Disco, Shawn Mendes, Train, Jennifer Nettles and Pat Benatar, to name just a few.
Justin Bieber had also been scheduled to appear but had to back out at the last second for personal reasons.
It is not uncommon for stars to have to lip sync at such large events, especially ones that are also being broadcast live.
Despite this, some took to Twitter to attack the singers, including Daughtry and Carey, for not performing live.
During the 2013 parade, Broadway vet Kristen Chenoweth actually missed her cue when lip syncing to the Kander and Ebb classic New York, New York, first performed by Liza Minnelli in the film of the same name and later made famous by Frank Sinatra.
The same thing also happened to American idol winner Scotty McCreery in the 2011 parade.
